As Sortes is a serious step up from the entry level Louro Godello. It comes from six old Godello parcels dotted around a natural amphitheater above the Bibei River. The vines here range from 45-85 years old, all planted into decomposed raw granite soils at around 600m above sea level. For years As Sortes was considered the benchmark Galician white; textural, powerful, elegant and age-worthy. In style and in substance there's something remarkably Burgundian about its' mixture of minerality, texture and smoky-flintiness.
